Sales Manager - Construction Equipment - Belgium

Function

As sales manager for earthmoving equipment , you will strengthen and develop the market share of earthmoving products (new machines, service activities, second-hand, long-term rental). How do I do it? Thanks to your strategic thinking, sophisticated vision, mission, market knowledge and the energetic leadership of your sales team. You are looking for long-term results and you are looking for nothing less than top quality service for all our (future) customers. Your mission: to add to your palmares a maximum and robust market share with a high service ratio.


These tasks are part of your daily work:

* The development of sales, rental, and service activities (e.g. maintenance contracts) for earthmoving machinery.
* Your creative drive for innovation and service ensures organic growth in market share in the long term.
* Develop a sales strategy and manage the sales team with strong leadership (vision, adjustment of the overall strategy, change management).
* Build and manage a team of ten salespeople who fully support your results-oriented vision (focusing on quality service and growth).
* Lead by example.
* Set annual objectives in line with the company's strategy and the specificity of the local market.
* Negotiate marketing campaigns with the Marketing Team.
* Develop a solid plan to sell capital goods, increase profits, expand market share.

> The basic conditions for this are :
* Good knowledge of products and solutions, efficient pricing, forward-looking supply chain, strong customer relationships.
* Transversal collaboration with the Marketing and After Sales teams as well as with the Executive Committee of our company.
* Fostering a real team spirit both within your sales team and in transversal collaboration with the other divisions (product managers, marketing & communication, rental, second-hand, etc.).
* You develop the talents of your team and ensure that all current and future skills are available internally.
* Management of sales resources within agreed budgets.
* Achieve and develop key performance indicators.
* Continued deployment of Salesforce to ensure you always have an up-to-date overview of the customer situation (via dashboards and key performance indicators).

In addition:
* You guarantee and ensure the image of our company:
> the company always complies with legal requirements ;
> your team always works in accordance with the company's values: respect, entrepreneurship, courage, and friendliness.
> You react quickly and focus on the questions of customers, prospects, and colleagues.
> You participate actively in the sales meeting.
> Report on market share, growth plan, etc.

*You report directly to the Marketing and Sales Director.

Profile

You are a fine strategist and salesman with a passion for earthmoving machinery and engineering. An informal corporate culture and self-employment are your strengths and you also have a strong communicative position. Your well thought-out view of your customers (and prospects) and their (potential) needs, the product range and our sales strategy goes hand in hand with a great deal of persuasiveness.


You also have the following skills:

* A degree in marketing/communication or the equivalent through experience.
* 5 to 10 years experience in sales management.
* A successful commercial track record with experience in the industrial distribution of capital goods (e.g. earthmoving, metal industry, agricultural machinery, trucks, etc.).
* Expertise in the business drivers of the industrial and service markets.
* Experience in the negotiation of large long-term contracts.
* Fully bilingual NL/FR with good knowledge of English.
* You are a people manager and your enthusiasm is contagious.
* Results-oriented.
* Strategic acumen.
* Customer focus and understanding of customer needs.
* Pragmatic and solution-oriented thinking.
* You enjoy social contact.
* You can communicate fluently and professionally with different partners (customers, employees, etc.), even in difficult situations.
* You always have an overview of the situation and can quickly set priorities.
* You quickly build up a solid professional network (internal and external).
* You are a good listener.
* You have a strong commercial attitude and persuasiveness.
* You are precise and have an eye for detail.
* You have experience of working across different departments within a company.
* MS Office 365 has no secrets for you (Excel, Word, PPT) and a first experience with Salesforce is a plus.
