Product Manager - Construction Equipment - Flemish Brabant
Fonction
As a Product Manager, your mission is to maximise the profitability of your range of products.
To achieve these goals, you contribute to the "4 Ps":
Product :
- As an expert in your assigned product range, you will stand naturally aware of the latest products and innovations.
- You study the market trends in the engineering machinery sector and the current and future customer needs.
- Through your analysis, you determine the configurations of the machines you are going to launch on the market.
- You follow training courses at the manufacturer's and share your knowledge with your sales team.
- For example, when a new product is launched, you make sure that all information (positioning, configuration, performance and price) is correct.
- You provide technical and commercial support to internal sales and customers and external, e.g. by drawing up offers or by taking over negotiations complex at the client's premises.
Pricing :
- You negotiate for the current and future product lines.
- You are responsible for the objectives to be achieved, the strategies to be applied, etc.
- You negotiate and determine the prices for your different sales channels (salespeople, customers, etc.).
- You write and follow up on current offers to stimulate sales.
Place :
- You are co-responsible for distribution on a national level. This means that you place orders, keep an eye on the available stock and follow the delivery times.
- On the basis of this information, the sales history and the business plan, you give expert advice on placing orders.
- You develop a network with your local subdealers.
Promotion :
- You set up marketing campaigns in collaboration with Marketing Coordinator.
- You put your expertise at the service of external and internal clients during demonstrations, comparative tests, events, etc.
Profil
- You have a talent for administration and sales.
- As an informal entrepreneur, you are passionate about all things technical and marketing.
- You know how to work independently. Trust and collaboration are key elements in your daily activities.
- In addition, you have the following skills:
- You have a bachelor's degree in electromechanics or a technical field.
- You have a strong affinity with civil engineering machinery and you understand the needs of the customer.
- You are competent in the analysis and interpretation of sales data and trends.
- You are able to establish professional relationships, both within the organisation and within the customer's own organisation with the customers.
- You have a strong commercial attitude and good powers of persuasion.
- You are Dutch-speaking with a good command of English and a good understanding of French.
- You have a very good knowledge of Excel.
- You are pragmatic and solution-oriented.
